Jesus came to earth for us; showing people how the world should be.

 

The Discipleship Team was organized to support, coordinate and recruit volunteers in all areas of congregational life and within the extended community.

 

It is time to support, recognize and celebrate “our church” in active discipleship.

We have committed volunteers serving in many areas.

           

Being a good disciple is not difficult – It is simply a matter of following Jesus with a willing heart ♥.

Discipleship Service Team

A Discipleship Service Team was formed to coordinate, recruit, sustain and support volunteer activity at Calvary.  We are each called to care, to love, to sing and to share.  There are many opportunities for service.

 

Sunday School: Contact:  Tracey Johnson 679-4218 or Jen Peterson 679-1819

            Teachers:     Pre-school – 6^th

            Presenters:  1 – 3 week commitment

           

Worship Servers: 

            Readers:       To read scripture lessons during 9:30 Worship Services each Sunday.

                                    Contact:  Carl Long at 272-4186

 

            Greeters:      Welcome people and extend a hand of friendship from Calvary by the front doors each Sunday at 9:15 am.

                                    Contact:  Joanie Soebbing at 679-6921 or Sally Ahlgren at 679-3014.

 

            Fellowship:  Servers for the Fellowship Gathering after the worship service at 10:30am.

            Acolytes:      Young people to light candles and participate in Worship service at 9:30am.

            Nursery:       We are looking for a mature individual to coordinate and oversee the nursery and  schedule during worship services.   Contact:  Joanie Soebbing 679-6921.

 

            Ushers:         1 month service commitment preferred.  Contact:  John Ahlgren 679-3014.

 

            Music:           Opportunities for Choir participation and special music offerings, worship service song leaders and other activities are always available.

            Flowers:       To enhance the altar for Sunday Worship Services.

                                    Sign-up to provide flowers at the Discipleship table in the Narthex.

 

            Grounds:      Still need someone for Oct 20^th & 27^th .

                                    Up keep of the church grounds, eg. Mowing, fall clean-up, shoveling, etc.
